Inspired by Melbourne’s laneways
The hotels ground floor cafe was specifically designed as a ‘lane way’ connecting the hotels’ lobby, reception, restaurant and shopping precinct. It’s thoroughfare developed as a tribute to Melbourne’s side streets and coffee culture.
Featuring locally roasted St Ali, the coffee experience is one of the heroes of the café, with its statement powder green coloured coffee machine that is expertly set for a slightly stronger roast.
Fresh, with a European flavour
We’ve created a concept that celebrates the European feel we experience in the everyday Melbourne cafe, and infused the fresh and vibrant cuisine the new, and next, generations seek out in a modern, Melbourne meeting place. Expect to find a row of classic pastries, filled Italian breads, and jars of fresh baked biscotti alongside mountain high fresh salad selections, rich in greens and grains.
Grab a Panini lunch to go, and select from Prosciutto or Chicken Cotoletta, or one of the salads that include; Falafel, shaved broccoli, cauliflower, pomegranate and roasted shallot; or Grilled zucchini, haloumi, peas, mint, lemon, pesto. Finish off with a Cannoli filled with caramelised orange and ricotta, pistachio; Watermelon and goats milk yoghurt panna cotta and Lemon curd tart with Italian meringue.
